Bella Mae ::ADOPTED::
Bella Mae’s story breaks our hearts! She was found with her young puppy on the side of a busy road. The rest of her litter was never discovered and her puppy was adopted shortly after they arrived at the Asan City Shelter. Bella Mae was placed in a loving foster home after living on a chain in the outdoor quarters of the shelter. It’s unclear exactly when & why her back leg was amputated but she gets around with ease at this time!

A few of our favorite Bella Mae things…
Bella Mae is a little, fox-tailed dreamboat! We were shocked to hear that she prefers people (especially children) over dogs but an older, child-proof rescue dog is really the dream, isn’t it?
She just loves to be alongside her people. At her foster home she loves hanging with the kids & baby and watching them play. Bella Mae is un-phased by them running around and playing in her presence (and has no interest in their toys!). She is wonderful with touch and being held. She’s also great traveling in the car!
We love her gentle spirit after everything she’s been through. We will 100% be placing her in a home with a fenced in yard to finally relax in and young children to keep her company.
A few things Bella Mae is working on…
Bella Mae is tiny but fierce when she wants to be! She is not a fan of dogs. Luckily she’s hardly a menace with her petite size but she prefers a dog-free environment. Our partner rescue calls her “bossy” with other dogs and we think that is pretty accurate. Bella Mae has also been an escape artist in the past. She has tried to chew her way out of kennels and has dug holes near fences. Over time we believe she’ll settle in to her forever family and they will earn her trust.
Bella Mae isn’t very food motivated and honestly doesn’t have much basic training under her belt but her chill, almost cat-like energy helps!
Her foster family is working on her fear around walks. We believe she was hit by a car in South Korea and is now scared of cars driving by and also parked cars. She prefers the “baby” lifestyle being held or put in a stroller and we don’t blame her!
