Choa ::ADOPTED::

Along with her sister and mom, Choa was rescued earlier in the year when her humans were hospitalized after a tragic car accident in South Korea. This baby werewolf spent several months in the high-kill shelter in Asan, South Korea before being cared for by a loving foster family prior to her flight. After a few rough days here in Portland, Choa started warming up to her new environment and new foster mom!

A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE Choa THINGS FROM her FOSTER mom…

Although hesitant at first, Choa is a big sweetheart. Once she warms up to you, she’s such a lover. She’s a big fan of walks, whether that’s around the neighborhood or in the forest. She’s very good about keeping the momentum going on the walk, listening to cues, and not getting too caught up with smells or distractions. She hasn’t gotten to meet that many doggo friends, but any time she does, she’s in heaven. She is very smart and picks up on things quickly - she learned shake after only 5 attempts. She can sit, she waits patiently for her food (even though she’s SUPER food motivated), she goes in her crate no problem, and she’s easy going about getting her harness and leash on and off once she is comfortable being handled by you. Once she’s relaxed, she’s very mellow and spends most of the day sleeping in her “place” spot.

My favorite thing about Choa is her affection - she gives the sweetest kisses and cuddles.

A FEW THINGS Choa IS WORKING ON FROM her FOSTER mom…

One of Choa’s biggest challenges is meeting new people. She’s very vocal, guarded, and stubborn and takes her sweet time warming up to strangers. Over time and with a lot of exposure she’ll ease up on this and become a major love bug all around. The other big thing Choa is working on is her separation anxiety. Because of her trust issues and this new environment, it will take time and practice for her to know that you’ll always come back for her.
