Clem ::ADOPTED::
Clem, also known as Chewbacca by our partner rescue, was found roaming the streets alone in February. He’s been at Asan’s city shelter ever since and is constantly overlooked by potential adopters even though he’s very sweet and social. He is now getting loved on at a foster home in Portland, Oregon!

A few of our favorite Clem things…
Outside of being the most gorgeous, bright eyed lil’ fella we just adore Clem’s personality.
He is so smart and is catching on to training at warp speed! Clem will play fetch for hours upon hours, loves showing off cute tricks with his ball, and is clearly very grateful to finally be in a home. He does well on walks and meeting new people too. He’s a mix of mellow & active and is happy to go with the flow of your family. You can just sense he is eager to please and to finally be loved!
A few things Clem is working on…
We describe Clem as a bit of a “spaz”! He has some nervous tendencies that his foster family is working on and their efforts must be continued by his adoptive family.
We noticed right away that if he’s in a space with dogs (indoors or outdoors) or where dogs have recently been he marks with urine. That being said, he is very friendly with other dogs and we believe he will outgrow this once settled.
Clem is sensitive to human touch and will need of patience and positive reinforcement. He is nippy/growly with dog groomers which is concerning due to his luscious coat that will need upkeep. Clem has a tendency to meet friendly hands with his teeth in a “mouthy” way (not an aggressive way). We have some tips and tricks to show him that hands won’t hurt him. It appears as though Clem doesn’t realize he’s mouthy. He’ll come right up to you wagging his tail and asking for pets but his first response is to protect his little body.
We have Clem on a CBD regimen while his fosters work on training and trust. He gets better each day!
