Ella ::ADOPTED::
Ella is a darling Jindo mix who has been waiting so patiently for a chance to find her forever family. Her mother and siblings were rescued from the street in South Korea when she was four weeks old. For the next year she was moved around from foster home to foster home at the military base. When her American foster families would have a new posting, instead of flying Ella (for free) to join them, she was abruptly left at a new foster home with an uncertain fate. With the stress of all the home transitions, Ella struggled to put on weight and fully trust her caretakers.
A Korean dog rescue advocate and @bandforanimal foster stepped in and found an amazing foster home in Seoul for Ella and she spent a few months there prior to joining Wildhearts. @rescueroverkorea helped us coordinate her care and truly went above and beyond to get Ella her freedom flight. 💖
We are obsessed with Ella’s “lean” forward when she stands, her expressive face, floppy ear, hoof-like paws, and crooked sniffing nose. On top of her adorable features she is the sweetest girl around! We were committed to ensure that Ella’s next stop would be her *final* stop and the best case scenario happened! Ella’s foster mom chose to adopt her! Ella is an amazing companion and hiking buddy. It was the perfect fit!
A few of our favorite Ella things from her new mom…
- A very sweet cuddler who can't resist ear scratches.
- Housebroken and great on the leash. She’s a great hiking buddy!
- Loves car rides! Especially when she can see out the window.
- A great sleeper, especially once she was willing to give the crate another try. ;)
- Likes other dogs and is cat curious but hasn't gotten to say hi to one yet.
- A very smart lady that picks up new commands with just a little bit of discipline on the behalf of her human.
A few things Ella is working on things from her new mom…
- Gaining weight! So lots of treats and keeping her stress low.
- Being left at home.
- Finding games or toys that she likes as much as chewing as sticks. She loves sticks and twigs from outside!
