Jade ::ADOPTED::
Jade is one of the 60+ dogs that were found locked away this winter in a hoarding situation outside of Asan, South Korea. Over the past several years the dogs were left to breed and their numbers grew into the hundreds. At least half of the dogs perished due to the horrific conditions they were forced to live in. Many died from illness, neglect, dog fights, and also from human consumption. The hoarders were reported to the city and slowly dogs are being pulled out and placed into the city shelter.
Jade and 23 other dogs were brought to the city shelter in January and a few months ago he was placed in a loving foster home in South Korea while he was treated for heartworm. He is a spunky, lil’ guy and we are obsessed with his beautiful brown eyes!
from Jade’s foster, now forever family…
Jade is a goofy, lovable and curious boy! He loves snuggling in a blanket on the couch with you or rough housing in the yard with his little-big foster brother! Jade is so curious, he loves going for long walks, to get out his energy and is always on the lookout for squirrel friends-- we are working on less zig-zagging and a bit more focus but having fun in the process. Jade loves baths—especially the after bath cuddle to dry, all wrapped up in his towel! Really Jade loves anything that involves getting some human affection! He seems to love his Chihuahua foster brother and they take turns being in charge of the house! Jade is working on learning “place" as he prefers to be his human’s shadow wherever they go. Jade isn’t a fan of his crate yet but is improving everyday with lots of praise and the example of his crate-loving foster brother! Jade loves to sunbathe on his little dirt patch in the yard so much that sometimes he pretends to not hear us asking him to come back inside! Jade is the sweetest and he is becoming an even more good boy each day!
