Munch ::ADOPteD::

In September of 2020, Munchโ€™s rescuer pulled him and 4 other dogs from a high kill shelter in Boseong-Gun, South Korea. The shelter was filthy and the dogs didnโ€™t even have access to water. Most of them suffered from painful skin diseases. Munch was heartworm positive, had skin infections, and also was anemic when he was found.

His rescuer provided vet care for the dogs and brought them to his small, no-kill shelter where they have been living ever since. He was named Boil, likely due to his skin issues. After a lot of love and care Boil, now Munch, is in great health and has a beautiful coat of hair! Munch is a pretty stubborn, standoffish pup but with a little time and patience he will open up and learn to trust new people in his life like he did with the shelter manager who cared for him.

From his forever familyโ€ฆ

Munch aka Little Lion, aka sweet baby angel - has been such a dream! We had no idea what to expect when he first arrived to our place. We knew he had his guard up after such a stressful transition, understandably so, but it turns out that all he really needed just a little bit of time and some patience before warming up and showing his true self.

He opened up to me almost immediately. He started taking naps next to me in my home office and following me basically everywhere I'd go. It was adorable but also a little frustrating because he was giving my husband almost zero attention when we were both trying really hard to make him comfortable and give him all the love and attention. After some guidance from Mel we decided to switch it up and I was going to ignore him while Juan was going to shower him with love and little by little he started warming up to him more and more. Our hearts melt each time he gets playful and cuddly. It's pretty much the best thing in the world.

Everyday he continues to surprise us. From leash training, to long car rides, he proves that he can learn and adapt very quickly. He sleeps all through the night in his crate, sometimes we forget he's even there! He never barks or growls. He's absolutely the sweetest and we feel so lucky to call him ours!
