Shiho ::ADopTED::
Shiho was rescued from a hoarder house a few months ago in South Korea. Dozens of Jindos were kept there with the fate of being sold into the dog meat industry. Along with Yuri and 14 other Jindo puppies, Shiho was brought to the local high-kill shelter and we are doing our best to fly them to safety in Portland as space becomes available. Initially Shiho was terrified of people but slowly his playful and curious side is starting to show!
A FEW OF OUR FAVORITE Shiho THINGS FROM his new family…
Shiho is very playful. He loves to give kisses and snuggles. He loves fetch and zooming around the yard with our dog Leia. He isn’t afraid of the rain and loves to run around in the mud! Bath time is not his favorite but playing tug with his rope is a good pastime. He is very content in his bed in the living room and enjoys his naps, especially with all fours in the air!
A FEW THINGS Shiho IS WORKING ON FROM his new family…
He likes his walks but gets nervous around moving cars/bikes. Taking him out often should help him gain confidence.
We are working on “lay down” and “Shiho come.” He is a fast learner with consistency. “Shiho stay” is another command we are working on. He gets very distracted easily and wants the next moving thing that might look fun. He will thrive with another animal or two in the house. He enjoys the companionship, friendly playtime and snuggles with our dog Leia. He is sooo good with our cat too and knows the word “gentle” when in contact with the cat.
